Since 1998, my full-time business has been coaching and mentoring gardening clients to help them create thriving and self-sustaining green spaces.

My specialty is helping people improve their gardens through integrated nutrition and pest management. I hold a diploma in Environmental Landscape Management from Seneca College and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Production Horticulture from Olds College. I’ve continued my education in organic horticulture through Humber College.

Clients work with me to stabilize their growing conditions, expand their knowledge of plant health, and structure their fertilizing routines so they can experience freedom and joy in their gardening.

Mission & Values

Ever since I began to research the complexity of soil science and its impact on plant health, I have been passionate about empowering people to garden in an authentic and simple way, and successfully and sustainably build their gardens.

My mission is to deliver the best products and advice that empower people to nurture a thriving, self-sustaining green space at any scale.

I’ve worked in the field of education since 1998 and I love helping people learn about the natural world. I have a PhD in Education and have studied Horticulture at George Brown College and Guelph University. I’m happiest when I’m sitting at my desk sketching visuals and layouts for media that will teach people about plant life.

I initially joined Toronto Horticulture to help expand its mission from service to education. I lead the planning, copyediting, and graphic design for all of Toronto Horticulture’s media. I have since also taken a leading role in our Design services for ecologically sustainable gardens.

Mission & Values

The joy I have for sustainable horticulture stems from my PhD research on the co-evolution of humans and their environments. I learned that the basics of life are the same for everyone whether you are a plant or animal — we all need good food and friends to thrive!

My mission is to help people develop their own appreciation for the natural world by creating accessible learning products and meaningful strategies for their green spaces.
